WhatIfCam uses fal.ai, a third-party artificial intelligence service, to process and transform your photos. When you use our app:

Your photos are sent to fal.ai's servers for AI-powered transformation processing
fal.ai processes your images using their machine learning models to generate the transformed results
fal.ai automatically deletes all processed images within 7 days
fal.ai does not use your photos to train their AI models
By using WhatIfCam, you consent to this data sharing with fal.ai

Information We Collect

Device Information

We collect a unique device identifier stored securely in your device's Keychain. This identifier is used to:

Associate your game sessions and transformations with your device
Manage your shots/credits balance
Provide a seamless experience without requiring account creation

Photos

When you use WhatIfCam to transform photos:

Original photos you upload are temporarily stored on our servers
Photos are sent to our AI processing partner (fal.ai) for transformation
Transformed results are stored on our servers and can be saved to your device

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the app, including:

Game sessions created and scenarios selected
Number of transformations performed
Credits/shots usage

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and maintain the WhatIfCam service
Process your photo transformations
Track and manage your credits/shots balance
Improve and optimize our service
Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

Third-Party Services

fal.ai (AI Processing)

We use fal.ai to process photo transformations. When you submit a photo:

Your photo is temporarily uploaded to fal.ai's servers for AI processing
fal.ai automatically deletes processed images after 7 days
fal.ai's privacy policy applies to data processed by their service

Cloud Storage

We use secure cloud storage (S3-compatible) to store:

Original photos you upload
Transformed photo results

Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

View Your Data

Access a summary of all data we store about you through the app's Settings tab.

Export Your Data

Request a full export of your data in a portable format via our API.

Delete Your Images

Delete all photos from our servers while keeping your game history.

Delete All Data

Permanently delete all your data including photos, game sessions, and device information.

Clear Local Gallery

Remove all saved creations stored locally on your device.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
Device tokens are securely generated and stored
Photos are stored in private cloud storage with access controls
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising

Children's Privacy

WhatIfCam is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
